Having a lack of confidence will hold you back, it will stop you from taking those leaps of faith that will project you forward in your career and in life. If you don’t have the confidence to apply for that new job or ask for a raise, how do you expect to become a leader at any stage of your life?  Many of you reading this might have aspirations to start your own business, to take the plunge and become the master of your own universe.  How could you possibly do that without the confidence not only in your abilities in the industry that you function but in growing a team around you to make your business a success. 

Believing in yourself and having the confidence to try is what allows you to reach your potential. 

Now I am not talking about arrogance when I say confidence.  There is a difference. Those that are arrogance or ‘over-confident’ are not someone you want to model yourself on. I am talking about belief in yourself, your skills and ability to succeed. 

If you believe in yourself you will take action.

How can you harness that self confidence to become successful? 

1. Confidence gives you the ability to say No and therefore you will not take on obligations that are unnecessary to you building your success. 
2. To succeed you need to have no fear.  Confidence leads you to having no fear, the fear of failing, of what people think of you or not making the right decisions. 
3. Confidence allows you to stretch your limits and test your abilities. 
4. It allows you to have the ability to ask questions, being confident in your skills and yourself means you are not afraid to ask questions that are going to better your business and yourself. You don’t need to know everything to be successful but you need to have the maturity to ask those that might know more on the subject. 
5. Confidence gives you the ability to say yes. Take those leaps into opportunity. 

Having the confidence will lead you to success. You will believe in yourself and the skys the limit.
